QUESTION:

Why a limitation message box appears when performing Recalculate Product Cost?

The 100 Product Limitation is an arbitrary threshold we have incorporated in the Recalculate Product Cost to optimize the performance on the system. To maximize performance and refine tune, we have indicated a threshold so not to affect the daily operation inside the system.

SCENARIO:

Normally a full Product Recalculation might take up to 1-2 hours to formally tag as finished. We have set it 100 as an arbitrary figure to complete the accuracy and calibration of the recalculation process.

During operational hours where simultaneous incoming and outgoing transaction is going on inside the system, when a user tries to generate/hit Recalculate Product Cost chances are there will be deviations/problems that we might encounter.

The moment when the user hit the Product Recalculation what the system does is to zerolise the quantity of the products and set as the default value to zero and lock in.

Concurrently, when the user performs an invoicing for a particular product when the product recalculation is still on going, chances are the quantity that will reflect in the system is zero and will prompt as insufficient balance. This scenario will create confusion in the system does will not allowed to proceed.
