RED-HIGHLIGHTEDMASTER RECORDLISTING

1.   WHY IS MY CUSTOMER MASTER SHOWING RED HIGHLIGHT?

When you have incomplete mandatory setting/information, the customer listing will show this as an incomplete record, and this is highlighted in red.

See the following example à

We see GMS Coffee Station and JJ Steamboat Restaurant are highlighted in red bar:

This condition happens because the mandatory ACCOUNT GROUP field is blank in the master record.

WHY IS ACCOUNT GROUP MANDATORY?

If the setting for account posting rules states that SALES ACCOUNT, SALES RETURN ACCOUNT, DEBTOR ACCOUNT or SALES DISCOUNT ACCOUNT is posted by Customer Account Group, then this field becomes mandatory, and must be setup in the CUSTOMER ACCOUNT GROUP and then the group mapped accordingly in the CUSTOMER MAINTENANCE.

2.   WHY IS MY SUPPLIER MASTER SHOWING RED HIGHLIGHT?

Similar to the customer maintenance, if the setting for account posting rules states that PURCHASE ACCOUNT, PURCHASE RETURN ACCOUNT, CREDITOR ACCOUNT or PURCHASE DISCOUNT ACCOUNT is posted by Supplier Account Group, then this field becomes mandatory, and must be setup in the SUPPLIER ACCOUNT GROUP and then the group mapped accordingly in the SUPPLIER MAINTENANCE.

3.   WHY IS MY PRODUCT MASTER SHOWING RED HIGHLIGHT?

Like Customer and Supplier Master earlier, when you have incomplete mandatory setting, the product listing will show this as an incomplete record, and this is highlighted in red.

Example, we see the product WENNEKER TRIPLE SEC is highlighted in red. This condition happens because the mandatory ACCOUNT GROUP field is blank in the product master.

WHY IS ACCOUNT GROUP MANDATORY?

If the setting for account posting rules states that if of the following: SALES ACCOUNT, SALES RETURN ACCOUNT, STOCK ACCOUNT (BS), STOCK ISSUE ACCOUNT, STOCK RECEIPT ACCOUNT, STOCK ADJUSTMENT ACCOUNT and COST OF SALES ACCOUNT is posted by Product Account Group, then this field becomes mandatory.

It must be setup in the PRODUCT ACCOUNT GROUP and then the group mapped accordingly in the PRODUCT & SERVICE MAINTENANCE.
