1. WHAT IS ACCOUNT BOOK TYPE SETTING?

If the system is a packaged system, the account book setting is always defaulted to EXPRESS Type. You may see in the SYSTEM SETTING screen what type of account book you are using




2. EXPRESS BOOK TYPE SETTING

Under EXPRESS Book Type, the Chart of Account screen will have a preset ACCOUNT SUBTYPE in the system, where the financial reports are formatted against. It is not changeable by the user


3. NON-EXPRESS BOOK TYPE SETTING

If the book, is a regular ERP book (Non-Express type), the Chart of Account screen will show as follow:


In this type, the user can set their own Sub-level 1 and Sub-level 2 to map their Chart of Accounts. There is also option for users to format their custom-layout format Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss Statement.
