ISSUE I see this message when I try to login. What is happening?

1.   LOGIN ID ACTIVE IN ANOTHER SESSION

This message appears when the system detected that the User ID you signed on has been used by someone else in another session – in another computing device or another web browser.

Multiple sessions per user ID is not permissible by the system.

Check the following scenarios:

  1. LOGIN ID Is Compromised – it can be compromised in many ways; like a malicious browser plugin that can steal your private information or someone hacking into your password etc. If that is the case, immediately proceed to terminate the session and reset your password through the LOST PASSWORD link on the login page.

  1. LOGIN ID Is Shared - if this is the case, note that each instance of user login is a session. The system does not allow 2 or more concurrent IDs to operate simultaneously in one session, as this would cause data collision and eventually corruption.

2. NO OTHER USERS BUT I STILL GET THIS MESSAGE

It is possible your LOGIN ID is still active in the server because it hasn’t been closed. This is caused by session that is not closed (log-off) properly. That happens at times, when you (a) login to a PC somewhere and did not log-off, causing the session to be open or (b) open in the same computer but using 2 different web browsers.

You can safely proceed to terminate the other session.

3. IF THIS PERSISTS, WHAT DO I DO?

If you are sure the above are followed and still receive this message, contact our Help Desk for further assistance.
