Description:
The Report Designer includes options to generate a schema, generate a custom REPX, generate a default REPX, and download the Report Designer.
1. GENERATE SCHEMA
A schema typically refers to the data structure or definition that the report is based on. It defines the data source layout—including tables, fields, types, and relationships—that the report will use to pull in data. Generate schema in A2000ERP can be downloaded under Tools > Documents > Generate Report Designer > Generate Schema.
2. GENERATE CUSTOM REPX
In A2000ERP, system can allow to generate custom repx but only this applicable if the account has existing custom repx. This can be downloaded under Tools > Documents > Generate Report Designer > Generate Custom Repx.
3. DOWNLOAD REPORT DESIGNER
A report designer is a tool used to create, edit, and manage reports defined using the REPX format. This tool can be downloading under Tools > Documents > Generate Report Designer > Download Report Designer.
Once the Report Designer is downloaded, the user can proceed to install it on their respective computer.
Example of how to edit a REPX file using hardcoded values only:
- First, download the specific transaction type for which you want to edit the REPX file. Navigate to System Admin > Transaction Setting > Select Customized Documents in order to download the repx file.
2. After downloading the REPX file, open it in the Report Designer to begin editing.
3. Make the necessary changes to the REPX file based on your specific requirements. Refer to the sample image below, which shows the edited name.
4. When editing is complete, save the REPX file to apply your changes.
5. To apply your changes, upload the edited REPX file in the 'Select Customized Documents' section.
6. View your edited REPX file within the transaction type where it was uploaded.
4. GENERATE DEFAULT REPX
A2000ERP provide a default REPX in specific transactions, the user may download default repx under Tools > Documents > Generate Report Designer > Generate Default Repx. After downloading the default REPX, you can upload it via the 'Select Customized Document' section and view it within the specific transaction type where it was applied.
